For my project my goal was to identify high value areas with in GVRD and analyze some demographics to make better informed marketing decisions. More specifically I wanted to figure out wealthier areas with larger plots, that fit a demographic most likely to use a landscaping service. This is based on density, income, age, and educational attainment. It is my assumption that older people, with higher incomes and education will be most likely be in the market for landscaping services. Density is meant to proxy the potential value of services per household, larger lot requires more work to be done. I also analyzed the demographics of spoken language to understand marketing decision. In this context I analyzed the percentage of people who speak Chinese (both dialects) to understand if language barriers are present and how many areas are predominately Chinese. .  This could influence how one would potential market to those areas.  IT was also a goal to separate area that are majority single family detached residential and ones that were largely apartments and therefore commercial.
